We are proud to announce the addition of two vital systems of health care to the Collinsville Fire Department.  We have increased our service to include Advanced Life Support capability.  Our Paramedic Fire Fighters are now able to start IV's and give life saving medications faster than ever before.  In the past patients would have to wait for the arrival of a ambulance with often extended response times.   Also new to our Program is a AED (automated external defibrillator). This piece of equipment allows all of our responders to provide the emergent life saving heart shocks used to revive patients in lethal cardiac arrest situations drastically improving the chance of survival.
